Nathan Alcock
Nathan is joining Team Natrajan for a summer project this year!

Outside of uni work he has a burning passion for Bob Dylan, black coffee, and red wine. All of these he finds most enjoyable when hiking and camping up a mountain somewhere. 
April Sung 
April is working with Rich on the synthesis of azobenzenes as her summer project.

Outside of the lab, she likes to draw, with her main insiprations coming from cartoons and science fiction. When she's not busy napping, she also enjoys watching Brooklyn 99, shopping, and playing Animal Crossing.
 Jonathan Cryer 
Jonathan joins the group working with Vanessa, as he helps her on here cyclen based adventures!

In his spare time he enjoys deconstructed triathlons, meaning he enjoys running, swimming and cycling.  He also watches a lot of sports with a preference for Newcastle United, bucking the Blackburn Rovers supporters trend that was created within the group many moons ago! 
Yiduo Yao 
Yiduo joins the group working with Jenn on the rapid and exciting world of lanthanide-lanthanide separations!

In her spare time when she is not travelling the world and exploring all of its hidden treasures, she enjoys a spot of cooking, which makes her very welcome in the Natrajan group, if samples are involved of course.........
Fatin Liyana Azhar
Fatin is the second joint summer student between Louise and Melissa Denecke. She is working on synthesising new ligands to improve the TALSPEAK process. 

In her spare time Fatin likes going on road trips with her housemates or watching TV series's.
Emma Ashworth
This summer Emma's been continuing MChem Student Laura's work on azo and diarylethene compounds as photo-switchable materials for 3D optical data storage.

Emma enjoys soaking up the sun in parks and smiling.
Nur Syuhada Khairul Anuar
Nur is a joint student, shared between Louise and Melissa Denecke. She has been working on syntheising new ligands for the TALSPEAK process in order to understand the interactions of lanthanides with N-donor ligands.

In her spare time Nur spends her time visiting as much of the British coast as possible.
Christopher Inman (again!)
Having enjoyed his previous placement so much, Chris returned for a summer project the following year. This time he was known as Austin Powers, and when not shouting generic retro catchphrases he worked on a luminescence project for Simon and Lucy. He alos enjoyes getting shouted at at football.
Christopher Inman 
The 2nd Chris in as many years to work for Louise on a summer project, Chris worked on ligand synthesis for low-oxidation state uranium. He is currently finishing his MChem project for Summer 2014.
Christopher Martin
Chris Martin worked in the summer of ‘11 for Louise in two-photon terpyridine complexes. He finished his MChem project for Prof. D. Proctor and was accepted onto a PhD for Prof. Leigh at the University of Manchester beginning September 2012.
Alexander Stross 
Alex Stross worked for Louise on a DTC summer project in ‘10, studying oligo-pyridine ligands. He completed his MChem for Prof. Collison and is now working under Prof. Hunter at the University of Sheffield.
